This attorney had his Virginia bar license revoked in November 2009. He chose not to return to the United States to attend a State Bar hearing and defend himself. Instead he signed a consent to the revocation in London, England where he is believed to be hiding and was stricken from the rolls in absentia. The Virginia ruling and the complaints against Greene can be found on the Virginia State Bar's website in PDF format. Matthew B. Greene was disbarred from practice on November 10 2009. His sole license to practice law in the United States was revoked by the Virginia State Bar following two allegations of misconduct. Greene signed an affidavit and voluntarily consented to the Revocation of his license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Greene agreed that the material facts of the allegations were true and that if the Disciplinary proceedings were prosecuted to a conclusion he could not successfully defend them. Greene signed the affidavit of consent to revocation in London England on November 6 2009 rather than return to the United States and attend the hearing to defend himself.
